Submission Checklist
University of Gitwe Journals values research that links theory and practice. Contributions should:
Be evidence-based, connecting empirical findings with theoretical insights
Address practical, policy, or scholarly relevance
Engage with local, national, or international contexts
Be accessible to a broad readership
Accepted article lengths (including references):

Each article should include:
A sharp, clear title (2–6 words)
Author name(s) and affiliation(s)
A stand-first (10–18 words summarizing the main argument/idea)
An abstract (75–150 words, unstructured)
Up to 5 keywords
Main text with short headings/subheadings (no more than 2 levels)
References (max 12, Harvard style)
Formatting: Word document, 11-point Arial, double-spaced, left-justified. Use UK English spelling. Notes only as endnotes.
Peer Review
All submissions undergo double-blind peer review. Reviewer and author identities are concealed to minimize bias. Editors manage the process and ensure manuscript files are stripped of identifying information before review. Feedback is anonymized for authors.
